SouthPark Magazine
This monthly magazine features a blend of editorial content, photography, and advertisements. I collaborated closely with the editor and sales team to design the entire publication from start to finish. My responsibilities included layout design, ad placement, and overseeing all production elements to ensure a smooth handoff to the printer.
In addition to the print version, I translated the magazine into a digital format for online distribution. I also developed branding and marketing collateral to promote each issue across various platforms, ensuring visual consistency and audience engagement.
Blue Ridge Outdoors
I led the creative direction for this monthly magazine, which featured a curated mix of editorial content, photography, and advertisements. Working closely with the editor, sales team, and design team, I oversaw each issue from concept to completion. My responsibilities included layout design, ad placement, creating custom advertisements for clients, and managing all production elements through to final print delivery. I also translated the print edition into a digital format for online distribution.
To support the launch of each issue, I developed a range of marketing collateral including social media campaigns, email campaigns, and promotional assets. These materials were designed to maintain visual consistency and effectively promote the magazine across both print and digital platforms.
Summitt Publishing Digital Branding
At Summit Publishing, I helped shape the brand’s digital identity by working on key visual elements like color palette, typography, and layout systems. The goal was to build a look and feel that felt both modern and true to the brand’s editorial voice, with a visual language that could translate well across a range of digital platforms.
With the brand foundation in place, we carried the design through to execution across day-to-day production. This included web pages, digital ads, social media graphics, and email campaigns. Each piece was designed to stay cohesive with the brand while adapting to different audiences and content needs.
The Virginia Sportsman
I lead the creative direction for this quarterly publication, which features rich editorial content and engaging visual storytelling. Working closely with the editor and sales team, I guide each issue from initial concept through final production. My role includes layout design, creating custom advertisements for clients, and managing all stages of production to ensure a polished print outcome. I also adapt each issue for digital distribution to reach a broader online audience.
